My first Wine Wednesday post is dedicated to Tranquille, a blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. I have had the pleasure of visiting the Pierre Jourdan, Haute Cabriere vineyard in Franschoek on one of my recent trips to Cape Town. They are well known for their MCC and Chardonnay-Pinot Noir range.
Tranquille has a gorgeous salmoney colour from the Pinot Noir and is an exquisite, gentle wine that can be enjoyed with most seafood dishes and light meals – we enjoyed it one evening with dark chocolate dipped strawberries. The citrusy acidity from the strawberries complemented this wine perfectly!
