As a tea lover, I’m fairly new to the coffee culture scene but I suspect it will soon be on my list of addictions after tea, chocolate and wine!
The lovely people at State5 Roastery and Cafe invited us out for a VIP afternoon to taste their menu and range of coffees and ice teas and wow, were we in for a treat!
This little cafe has its own little in-house roastery – sourcing green beans and roasting them on site. For the “non-believers”, there extensive drinks menu has decadent hot chocolates, teas and smoothies.
They even have my favourite: Vietnamese coffee! Theirs is made with a dark roasted brazilian blend poured over condensed milk.
Their cold brewed coffee range is however their specialty. Beans are roasted and settled for a week then soaked in cold water for 24 hours before being filtered and bottled. You can choose to have it plain or decadently sweetened with vanilla, hazelnut, almond, caramel or salted caramel – all syrups made by State5.
This cup of deliciousness is called the Caramilizer and is cold brew coffee blended with chocolate and salted caramel.
We also tasted pancake lattes flavoured with vanilla and cinnamon – so yum!
They have a selection of wraps and sandwiches, the roast sriracha pulled chicken grilled cheese sandwich was a winner for us!
I loved their mix berry rooibos ice tea, other flavours include lemon, peach, pomegranate
I left full and happy – and more than a little buzzed from all the caffeine 🙂
