We had the pleasure of being hosted by Silverstar Casino to experience their “Night Out for Two” promotion this past week – what a fun-filled evening!
Here’s how our night went down:
1) Free Parking!
Evening is already off to a good start š
2) Dinner
All the restaurants at Silverstar have special “Night Out for 2” set menus prepared. We choseĀ Vigour & Verve that evening – loved the cute decor and the warm welcoming service here (Simon is a legend!).
Their 3 course set menu for this promotion included a fresh Greek salad for starters.
For mains you have the option of either a monument pizza, chicken fettucine or spicy battered hake and chips. Hubster chose the pizza which was packed with his favourite toppings: boerie, feta and avo!
I had the spicy battered hake and chips which was a generous portion and very tasty! Vigour & Verve has great cafe food and if I am ever back, would be keen to try out their other menu options.
The meal was rounded off with a lovely fruit salad and vanilla icecream. We also decided to stay a little longer and enjoyed a pot of loose leaf tea rose and vanilla tea – so good!
We left, tummies full and happy, for our next activity –
3) Movies
You have a choice of either 2D or 3D movies. We watched Finding Dory š
4) Ten Pin Bowling
I suck at it, but its still loads of fun! (also, unlike other places, the bowling shoes were not icky!)
5) Freeplay and Drinks on the casino floor
We got a glass of beer and wine and set out to find a “hot” machine, our R50 freeplay lasted longer than expected.. (probably because we went for the 20c and 50c ones!)
Verdict:
The “Night Out for Two” promotion at Silverstar Casino is really good value for money atĀ just R300 per couple andĀ makes for a perfect date night! So don’t be so boring and go out on a school night š
